Princess Rowena Krollnar (human M15, N, Fire Elemantalist of the 4th Circle), former Viscountess of Bergen, married Vaëlmir in the beginning of AC 1008. She was born in 968 and is a bit older than her husband, but seams as young as he was. She is one of the most beautiful courtesans in Glantri. Her face bears a scar dating from the time she accidentally invoked a creature from the Abyss. The demon escaped. Rowena offered her hand to any hero who will kill the creature and bring her proof of the deed. The young Vaëlmir, secretly in love, managed to invoke the demon back and slew it after a devastating duel. He brought back to the Viscountess the head of the creature and married her shortly afterwards. Many men think the scar adds to her beauty. She is a tall, shapely blonde and usually wears a translucent veil over her face. She is of mixed Flaemish and  Antalian (Soderfjord) origins.

The elder daughter of the Prince and Princess, Lady Wynona (human M3, N), was born in 1006 AC. She seams as promising as her parents in the arcane science and has begun her training at the Great School of Magic. She has slight Elvish and Flaemish  features, testifying for her mixed origins, which creates a rare beauty, even for a child. She has a slight coppery complexion, red-brown hair with deep amber eyes.

Sir Etheldred (human boy, L), first son of the Princess, was born in 1008 AC. He is still a young brat, but also revealed a propention toward magic. He has silvery-white hair and deep amber eyes.

Born in 1010 AC, the younger son, Sir Drake (progeny boy, CG) is the first child of the family showing obvious signs of being what Glantrian people call a progeny. He is completly hairless, has a smooth draconic coppery skin, and yellow-amber eyes. Besides he is a beautiful baby, who grows surprisingly fast (He looks like a 8 years-old).

Sir Tyrson Krollnar (human F10, CG), Princess Rowena's brother, and his wife Leranda (human M9, N, Water Elementalist of the 2nd Circle) are the House representatives at Parliament. They live at Lendyl Palace in Ambreville, with their young son Mirn (11 years-old human boy M2, NG).

Lady Altaïs (gray Shiye-Lawr elf M20/F17, NG, High Mistress of Lightning, Treekeeper of Lawensa Sanctuary) the elven founder of the Principality, is the new Countess of High Sonden. She used to spend most her time at the Capital, for her dominion is not far away. She disappeared deep into the Canolbarth Forest in the elven kingdom of Alfheim a few months ago. After a magic quest for the Immortal Ordana, she became the new Treekeeper of the Lawensa Sanctuary.

Her brother, Sir Thalaric (gray Shiye-Lawr elf M8/F10, LN) is the Captain of the Princess Guards. His wife, Lady Klaryssa (gray Alfheim elf M8/F5, CG, Dracologist of the 2nd Circle, Brass Dragon) is in charge of the Tower of Mithrandyl intendance. Their son, Sir Feyd (gray elf M9/F8, N, Lightning Master of the 2nd Circle) is appointed as ambassador to Wendar. He was one of Prince Vaëlmir's best friends.

Sir Cyd (gray Shiye-lawr elf M12/F8, NG, Cryptomancer of the 3rd Circle), Thalaric's twin brother, is the Constable of Elversult. He spends half his time studying at the Great School. He used to be the assistant of the Prince in matters related to ancient magic, and is currently the First Regent of Virgaard.

Sir Gilthanas (gray Alfheim elf M9/F9, N) is the victorious General of the 3rd and 4th Virgaardian Banners. He happens to be Lady Klaryssa's brother. He resides at Fort Dragonsdale where he assumes the Viceroyalty for the Princess, or at Elversult when training the 3rd Banner.

Nobles of the House

Lord Sukumvit (human M30, CN), the enigmatic Baron of Fang, is wordly famous for his famous Labyrinth of Death, a huge complex of mazes, tunnels and caves extending deep into the mere center of a mountain. This labyrinth opens its doors during a yearly contest, where adventurers put their bravery and skills through the test, meeting the challenge of entering the maze, some of them never to be seen again...

Lady Shikaya San-Jin (human M15, N, Dracologist of the 3rd Circle, Shadow Dragon), Baroness of Adri-Varma, is a close friend to Prince Vaëlmir since the time they studied together at the Great School. She helped him as an advisor at the beginning of his rule and was rewarded by a dominion of her own. She is a distant cousin to Lord Urmahid Krinagar, the Count of Faïzabad. She also happens to be the Grand Admiral of the Virgaardian Flying Fleet.

Dona Marianita Lucia de Leon y Valdez (human M18, CN, Dracologist of the 3rd Circle, Ruby Dragon) replaced Princess Rowena as Viscountess of Bergen. She was given the dominion thanks to political agreements made by Prince Vaëlmir, Chancellor of the Princes, when she came back from her assignment of ambassador to Karameikos. She is a very beautiful short woman, with slight Belcadiz elven features, highly skilled in the Art of Magic. She also happened to be the Prince's mistress, and secretly had a child from him in 1008. The young Juan de Valdez (y Lendyl) (progeny boy M1, CG) has just begun attending the Great School, under the assumed name of Juan de Coronada. He also is a progeny, for he has been conceived while Prince Vaëlmir began his draconic transformation. He looks like a 14-years-old.

Lady Altaïs Finlaurë Lendyl, the new Countess of High Sonden, also happens to be Prince Vaëlmir's mother and the former Princess of Virgaard. The Tower of High Sonden, above which violent lightning storms are more and more frequent, hosts other personnalities of the House. Lady Ithildîn (gray Shye-Lawr elf T11/F8/M6, N) is the Countess' daughter and half-sister to Prince Vaëlmir. She is a breath-taking beauty who spends half her time at the Tower and in her residence at Ambreville. She happens to be one of the Council of Princes' top spies as well as an independant thief known as Brume.  Sir Fenrhil (human F7, LN), the elder son of Countess Altaïs and the now deceased Emperor Grummir of Wolfland, recently stettled in Glantri (when his mad father died, killed by Prince Kogaratsu) after a long stay in Darokin. He is a full brother to Prince Vaëlmir. His giant white wolf, Skarn, always walks at his side.

Lord Morianth (human M11, NE, Fire Elementalist of the 2nd Circle), Marquis of Wozlan is a young ambitious wizard. His marquisate was created in 1008, thanks to the support of the House of Mithrandyl. Vaëlmir does not trust Morianth very much, and has assigned several of his spies at the Tower of Wozlan in order to keep a close eye on the Marquis. Morianth is a fierce opponent of the House of Nova Roma, and the Knights of the Light have constantly strived to blackmail him during the last few years. The Light finally managed to frame and court him for trial. He was condamned to a spiritual retreat with Priests of the Light.

Lady Margaret of Hillsbury (human M16, N, Air Elementalist of the 4th Circle) the former Duchess of Fenswick (and later New Fenswick), has just replaced Lord Harald of Haaskinz as the new Archduchess of Adlerturm, the only noble of that rank in Glantri. After the destruction of Fenswick, which she had ruled for ages, during the war against Ethengar, she settled a new duchy with the Council approval around the vacant Barony of Uigmuir, and renamed it from the name of her former dominion. When Harald of Haaskinz gained the Principality of Sablestone, the Parliament appointed Lady Margaret at the head of the vacant Archduchy. She is a strong-willed woman who rules her dominion with an iron fist. She is quite touchy on matters of law and principles when it comes to her subjects' behavior and nobles' attitude at Parliament. She joined the House of Mithrandyl because she shares Prince Vaëlmir's conservationist views on politics. She is a fierce opponent of  several newcomers in the Nation such as the House of Skullhorn Pass, the warrior nobles and the fraudulent Priests of the Light. She is campaining to have Fenswick renamed for she doesn't want her former duchy associated with what she considers dwarven experimental pets. She is a long-time supporter of Volospin Aendyr and will surely join him if he comes back to Glantri.

Ties to the House of Silversprings:

Since he became Prince of Virgaard, Vaëlmir had always been a loyal supporter of Lord Harald of Haaskinz, who happened to be one of his masters at the Great School. He finally asked King Koragatsu and Queen Geneviève a part of their kingdom (the Sablestone area) to enable his friend to found his own principality. They both agreed and gave up the region by the end of the year 1012 AC. Harald of Haaskinz was also a close friend to Princess Rowena and her brother, he still is a reliable ally of Virgaard.

Ties to the House of Vyonnes (Sylaire):

Lady Altaïs first became Baroness of Mithrandyl thanks to Prince Kogaratsu, one of her long-time adventuring partners. The people of the region later requested the foundation of a principality. Since that time, the distantly related Houses (Lady Grinola is a distant cousin to Lord Vaëlmir, and Lady Arianne his aunt)  have usually supported each other. Besides, Prince Vaëlmir didn't share Kogarasu's opinion on many key issues such as the Knights of the Light's expansion and the excessive growing number of non-wizard nobles. Vaëlmir used to regret Etienne d'Ambreville did not interfere enough in these  matters. He had just beginning changing his mind about that point when he was killed.

Ties to the House of Westneath:

Prince Vaëlmir hates Prince Brannart for his obvious hatred of the living, his rude manners and taste for necromancy. The former once asked the latter's help to frame Prince Morphail and all he got was a huge sarcastic laughter and an insult. Prince Vaëlmir was aware of the true nature of Brannart, and would have done his best to help his grand-son Sir Angus McGregor to get rid of the old scarecrow. Before disappearing, Vaëlmir left all these informations to his trusted uncle Cyd.

Princess Rowena dispised Prince Brannart as well, and was quite glad of his recent disappearance. The House of Westneath ceased to exist and was replaced by the House of Braejr, ruled by Prince Grummash, a long time ally of Mithrandyl.

Ties to the House of Igorov:

Prince Vaëlmir believed that the Prince of Boldavia was and has always been a traitor to the Council. He once charged the latter for vampirism thus revealing his true nature to the world. At that time, Vaëlmir didn't manage to get the other Princes' support against Morphail. Recently (AC 1013), the Council has finally admitted the treason of the House of Igorov. Morphail has been arrested and is awaiting his trial, bound in an anti-magical device designed as his beloved coffin, and burried deep inside the dunjeon of the Tower of  Sighs. The other nobles of the House have also been arrested or destroyed.

Unhopefully, Morphail's spirit escaped and embodied a allmighty creature created by the Immortal Alphaks. Morphail is now an Ultimate Golem, and he is free !!! Vaëlmir, under the form of an alias of Tinarë, fought the fiend in the end of AC 1015 but was defeated...

Ties to the House of Nova Roma:

The Prince of Virgaard used to think the rulers of this House were dangerous fanatics. He also feared the new Cult of the Light may challenge the suppremacy of  Rad over Glantri. The Knight of the Light also blame Vaëlmir for offering protection to Lord Morianth, Marquis of Wozlan, whom they had desperately trying to convict of treason. Recently, Vaëlmir realized that the Knights of the Light and himself had numerous common views, and begun changing his mind about Rad and his supremacy over wizards... Princess Rowena prefers to be quite distant to the members of that House, even if they helped her several times after Vaëlmir's death.

Ties to the House of Linden:

Princess Rowena, from mixed Flaemish and Antalian origins, was part of this House when she was viscountess of Bergen. She is still a close friend to Princess Juliana. The latter was a bit suspicious about the House of Mithrandyl and Prince Vaëlmir's intentions, perhaps because of his elven ascent. Princess Juliana, thanks to the draconic power of his impersonnated uncle Anton, is the only member of the Council aware that Vaëlmir had become a true dragon before he died.

The two houses get closer and closer, thanks to the growing friendship of the two Princesses.

Ties to the House of Ritterburg:

Prince Vaëlmir might have been one of the most considered apprentices Prince Jaggar ever had in his Secret Craft of Dracology. He was anyway the only one Jaggar ever taugh the powers of the Fourth Circle. Paradoxically, since that time, the two Princes have shown a growing rivalry among the Council. It is even rumored that they had dueled secretly some time ago... They finally formed a strong alliance, just before Vaëlmir disappeared.

Princess Rowena dislikes the Aalbanese warfare culture, and doesn't trust Prince Jaggar. Yet she recognizes he is a fierce protector of Glantri.

Ties to the House of Alhambra:

As Chancellor of the Princes, Prince Vaëlmir asked Lady Marianita de Leon y Valdez to come back to Glantri from her assignement as ambassador to Karameikos. The new viscountess of Bergen used to be a long-time foe of Princess Carnelia de Belcadiz, and her reappearance at Parliament created much tension between the two Houses. However, when Don Diego, Carnelia's brother, was caught up by Emperor Thincol's army, Vaëlmir sent his cousin Sir Feyd Lendyl to help. Feyd managed to set Diego free. The principality of Belcadiz is ruled by Don Diego since Carnelia seams to have left the Country, consequently the two Houses have become more neutral and even friendly toward each other.

Under the rule of Princess Rowena, from Flaemish origins, the glantrian elves are becoming a bit suspicious about the evolution of their relationship with the House of Mithrandyl.

Ties to the House of Silverston:

After the banishment of Prince Volospin Aendyr, the Principality of Blackhill was given to Lord Ezechiel Naramis, which created much anger among nobles, for the latter was only a viscount, and the principality was supposed to be given to the current Archduke, Lord Harald of Haaskinz. As a supporter of Harald, Prince Vaëlmir considered Ezechiel a fraud and begun opposing him whenever possible. The constant opposition led the two Princes to the Dueling Court, where Ezechiel used a sword made of Oraculum, a powerful anti-magic ore. Vaëlmir was thus unable to use any spell and lost the duel, which was supposed to be a magical one. He never accepted the cheating of his rival and the two Houses became fierce opponents, if not ennemies, until the two Princes suddenly ackwowledged and ally themselves, at the greater astonishment of the whole Council and Parliament. In fact, Prince Ezechiel disappeared in a battle against the Heldannic Knights. Prince Vaëlmir, the only one aware of Ezechiel's death, seized the opportunity of greater power and impersonated the Prince of Blackhill. This lasted for tree years, until Vaëlmir discovered that Ezechiel was still alive (his soul bound in a golem at Sylaire). He then gave up his plans, with nobody aware of the scheme. The Council also plans to give back his principality to Prince Volospin Aendyr, if the latter betrays Alphatia in Glantri's favor. Ezechiel will then be given a duchy or marquisate, if he shows up again for he disappeared once again some time ago, trapped in a parallel dimension plane.

Ties to the House of Ellerovyn

Princess Rowena distrusts Princess Carlotina and the Nobles of her House. Prince Vaëlmir was more neutral toward the elven Clan, for Carlotina, as Chamberlain of the Land, permitted the construction of the road linking Ostbruck to  Elversult. As a matter of fact, nothing really opposes the House of Mithrandyl to the House of Ellerovyn.

Under the rule of Princess Rowena, from Flaemish origins, the glantrian elves are becoming a bit suspicious about the evolution of their relationship with the House of Mithrandyl. Erewani are in better dispositions since Virgaard showed active participating in defending Alfheim.

Ties to the House of Skullhorn Pass

Prince Vaëlmir, being of elven origins and raised as a true glantrian, was not naturally well-disposed toward dwarves. Nevertheless, he recognized the Colossus Mounts and the Pass are well guarded by the nobles of the House. Besides he used to think the House had too much power considering the way it has been settled.

Ties to the House of Sirecchia

The House of Mithrandyl is getting fairly well with the House of Sirrechia, that is to say nothing opposes particularly the two Houses. Princess Rowena preferes Princess Lucrecia to her deceased paranoid brother, Prince Innocenti.

Ties to the House of Crownguard

Prince Vaëlmir had respect toward Prince Duncan McGregor but feared his hatred for wizards. He hoped the creation of the Great School of Warfare would smooth the activities of the Followers of the Claymore. Vaëlmir used to regret the McGregors' devotion to the Light, and had had to oppose the House several times at Parliament. While still alive, He swore to do his best to help his friend Angus (a faithful follower of Rad) taking the head of the House.

Princess Rowena is rather neutral towards Crownguard, but continues her husband's will to offer shelter to Sir Angus McGregor, even if she doesn't like him and his bad taste for necromancy.

Ties to the House of Singhabad

Prince Vaëlmir and Prince Jherek were not friends but respected each other's skills in politics and magic. They formed several short-term political alliances and nothing really opposes the two Houses. The Prince of Krondahar is a long-time foe of his ex-wife Lady Ariane, Vaëlmir's aunt, and of Lord Grummash, Vaëlmir's great grand-father, but he is aware the Prince of Virgaard had nothing to do with it. Moreover Jherek liked Vaëlmir's trust towards glantrians of ethengarian origins. He appreciates Lady Shikaya San-Jin, baroness of Adri-Varma. Yet he doesn't trust the Flaemish and is therefore suspicious about Princess Rowena.
